Hi Folks,
Sorry to taint the discussion with a classified, but I'm looking for a black 5-spd shifter emblem and I understand that the 928 5-spds were the dogleg/getrag/etc. type with 1st down and left. I'm switching a 924Turbo brown interior to black and this is the last bit I need. These are only found on the shifters where the leather boot tucks up under the button. It's going to look like the one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2446679723 but in plain old black plastic.
Drop me an email if you have one: rn_durham@hotmail.com
Check out my 'project' if you like: http://www.cardomain.com/id/nick931s
Thanks for the bandwidth,
-nick

I'm wondering if anyone has come across a Porsche shifter similar to the 996/986 (pictued below), exept it doesn't have the gear position map on the top?
I really like this style, esp with the P crest, but the gear pattern won't work w/ my 928. Has anyone found one? Thanks!

All the early 911s 5 speeds have the same shift pattern it did not change until 1987 so 1965 -1987 911s have the CORRECT shift pattern ! I mean who uses first gear much anyway !
