Default You Know You Are A REAL 928 Owner When...

SoCal Tom has the "Rite of Passage" thread going, which is interesting.

But I think a more fun question would be:

What makes someone a "real" 928 owner?

A few of mine (I'm sure I will come up with more later):

You can spot an upside down air filter from 25 feet away.

You are on a first name basis with the parts vendors (Carl, Mark & Tom, Roger, ect) and have them on speed dial.

You know fuse circuits by number (fuse 24 for example).

You have more 10mm and 13mm sockets and wrenches than "inch" tools (total SAE tools).

Your wife or girlfriend puts DeOxit behind her ear instead of Chanel.

You keep telling yourself that "3 Porsches isn't a sign of a problem"... And when you see one sitting somewhere, you say to yourself "Maybe 4 isn't a sign of a problem."

You are divorcing your wife and she makes the comment now you can buy as many 928's as you want, so you go purchase another one within 30 days.

When you hear the work Shark you think of our cars not the fish

When someone mentions WP / Timing belt you visualize the first time you did yours and the mistakes you made.

You never add up parts receipts! Or think about the amount of hours you've spent reading about or working on your 928.

Your wife would automatically put every package addressed to you inside the garage.

Except when I have to tell the wife, "the '78 brown one, not the '79 brown one". Followed up with, "the REALLY beat up brown car, not the nicer brown one".

The first thing you do when you wake up at 4:00 a.m. after making coffee is open Rennlist to peruse the overnight posts...

When you bring loose wheels to the tire store for new tires because there's NO WAY you're letting the Impact Gun Monkey's within a quarter-mile of your aluminum lug nuts.

You know what option codes such as 650, 418, and 220 are without looking them up, and that when someone says they're going to look up PET, they're not referring to a **** site.

Forget the lug nuts, I worry about the frame and floorboards.
