Oil Pan Bolt Help
Some bozo (me) lost the bolt layout drawing I had and now I can't for the life of me remember where the longer bolts and the shorter bolts go. Anybody have a bolt layout?
Cheers

Well, at least the total is right
As mentioned above, there should be five short ones (25 mm) and 25 longer ones (28 mm). They are all M6 hex-head machine screws. Measure from the underside of the head to the end of the screw. I suspect some PO lost a few and replaced them with 30 mm, a more common size. Personally I would replace them all, or at least the 5 longest if they measure over 28 mm.
Identify the five recesses (two on each side for the cross-member, one for the starter). The 25 mm) screws go there. If you don't want to replace the five longest, then identify the locations that are through-drilled and tapped-- the flange across the front of the block for example-- and use them there. You do not want to use a screw longer than 28 mm in the blind-tapped holes.

NOTE if you have a 5 speed then 2 of the 30MM bolts go into the holes for the slave flex line anchor

more than likely someone ordered the long bolts for the pan not realizing that their are actually 3 different size bolts for the pan.
the missing bolts 28mm probably vibrated loose and fell out.
The 30mm bolts are made to hold a metal bracket thats bolted to the bottom edge of the oil pan, the bracket holds the end of the hard line for the slave cylinder
If your not paying attention its easy to overlook the fact of 3 different size bolts in PET
