Leather or Pascha for my 79?
My 79 project continues. I really aimed at a preservation more than a restoration but the car hasn't always cooperated with that goal
The car is currently black on black leather.
Long story short, I have a mint black and beige Pascha rear seat set and am considering having Rob Budd make me new matching Pascha front seats.
.My other option is to have him make new black leather front seats and I retain my existing black leather back seat which is also very nice
Cost is very similar. I like the Pascha because is will break up the sea of black that is my car but the leather is correct for the car and seems to hold up better.
Opinions ? I am curious what your thoughts are

Not many collectors of OBs will care if the original ‘79 build codes show leather if the pascha is brand new. Pascha interior gets more attention and more money when put on sale. Pascha in now and when OB prices goes through the roof (whenever that may be) it may be time again to restore it back to leather if you or the next owner wants in 10-15 years.
It it will be nice and matches the impeccable job you’re doing for the engine!

A very common color combination (at least in the states) is brown dash / console / armrests etc.. with tan seats and carpet. My 80 & 81 are like this.
Has anyone ever seen this interior combo with Pasha in the seats & center door insert?
I'm trying to picture this since I've been debating on having the seats & door re-done in pasha in my red 80.
I suppose the brown / white pasha would work, but I like the black / white so much better.

And yes, pasha over leather! It's what gives the OB their unique '70's flavor.

My '80 was like this. The interior was a custom color (per Kardex) and had mostly brown interior with seats that were butterscotch leather with brown/cream pascha cloth. The seats were rotted out and now the interior is all brown...except for the door inserts.
