Default Crankshaft seal installer tool

Does anyone have the crankshaft front seal installer tool# 9125, for rent ,to borrow, or sale?

DR, has them for sale @ $ 125.00, which is OK, but I don't want to have to buy one, for a one time use. I will if I have to.

Thanks
Joe

Joe - there is a home depot substitute for this - pvc pipe cut down. I remember one of the timing belt threads had shown it (I think Sharkattack) but I can't find it. Maybe someone else will remember?

Just so you know, a front seal replacement is pretty easy to do using the old seal. Rear seal is definitely trickier.

Is there a tutorial here, or what's the procedure?

I'm not following you.

I have both the front and rear seal install tools. PM me your info and I can get either one out to you ASAP, just pay return shipping.

Just be gentle though, it's still a new in bag virgin

Blake, That's a generous offer, and I thank you. I may have to fly back to Houston tomorrow, so lets hold off.

My car is spotting, not really a steady drip type leak. Probably cause it sits so much of the time. I may wait till after I return from 3rd coast, and knock it out when I do the top end refresh.

Once again, it's the people on this forum that make owning this car so easy and enjoyable!

No problem. I hope you can get it sorted easily when you get back from your travels. Have fun.

PS, definitely do it when you do the top end refresh while you change the timing belt. The only extra thing that needs to come off when doing that is the crank gear.
