a buck or five
So the transplanted Brit had not heard of this strange language before so I googled it and it translated to $150.
Buck being $100 and five being $50

My bad - sorry.

Didn't intend to confuse you. You'll notice that I went out of the way to use the British form for Aluminum...

Would these ducts be a candidate for printing?

Possibly. Probably not a good candidate though. If we assume that we could end up with a cleaned-up model derived from a laser scan (no totally trivial or inexpensive task set unless you have access to the equipment and software and have time to burn) ...

... at commercial printing prices, in a survivable-next-to-the-manifold material, each duct would - *I think* - cost more than $50.

GT6ixer would have a much-more expert opinion though.

Excellent.

Maybe we need to ponder why loose right-side ducts are so plentiful

Wow. How did I miss this thread?

Guess I can put the right vent into the 928 museum beside the snapped driveshaft stub. At least it was good for a few laughs.

JAWAG ..........because of target fixation,
thus the item that the car runs over lines up with the left duct more frequently,
and removes it from the car,
this leaves half of the plastic tray and the right duct still hanging around.

Both are held in with 4 aluminum rivets the same size. One duct is much heavier than the other, so when the idiots that take off the undertrays and do nott put the screws back in that support the ducts, the heavier one fatigue the rivets and that one falls off first?

I know somebody that is trying to prototype the horns.

What would you be willing to pay?

Kevin:

If you are asking me, I've been throwing used ducts off of broken undertrays into a box for the past 30 years.

I have plenty.

Bump. I figured by now someone might have come across a loose left-side duct.
