Red 928GTS from Schmitt

I don't think they are same cars. The GTS in Autoweek is a 1995 MY and this is a 1993 MY. FYI.
Be very careful about dealing with Schmidtt, there have been some horror stories about these guys. I have also heard of folks who have had good experiences too. Have it checked out.

Because I am all for helping people I will tell you to be careful of Schmidt because I sold a car purchased through them and it cost alot of money to fix the new owners problem. I did fix it though!
This car has been rear ended according to carfax. Just FYI. If you want the report I have it. I was curious too as to why it was so cheap.

Porsche 1662, thanks. I thought I had found my Porsche Holy Grail, which is a RED GTS, 5spd, BUT, its an AT. Besides, I think I'm not ready. I'm debating myself as to which I should get next, a 993 or a GTS 5-sp? Need to free up some space also. Have an old MBZ 450SLC that takes up space and hardly ever gets used. Thank you again.

Re: Red 928GTS from Schmitt
I like this one better. It's my buddy Thilo's car when it was delivered from the factory to Hans Stuck

Thanks Bill Ball, How did you find that. I could have used it a few months ago. They sell a lot of 928's, you might want to make this more available in its own Post Topic to help others who might not find it here.

Yeah, I think I know what you mean about the lock.
Sean - I admire you for fixing a Schmitt car, especially since it really is the buyer's responsibility to investigate the condition of the car. An expensive lesson learned. And thanks for the CarFax details here and for several other cars discussed on the list. Saved people from a number of headaches.
