Default New Radiator Recommendations

Hi All

Going through a bad patch w my car- one damn thing after another.

Any recommendations for an aftermarket radiator. It has the original Behr radiator in it that is now leaking and I am perfectly fine with any replacement that did as well as the original that lasted >25 years.

I do not seek the best radiator on the planet- just a solid stock replacement or similar.

Thanks in advance

John

I went thru a few Behr units until I gave up and went with a C&R all aluminum radiator. 928 International was selling it..

Never had a problem since and it's been over 10 years....

CSF all aluminum radiator from 928 Int. Fine quality. Buy factory looking stickers from Roger and you're good to go.

Thanks fellas
I'm not 25 miles out from a sheared-off torque tube repair and a new window controller module and now this. I suppose these cars are getting up there in car years!

As always- thanks for the input!

Where is your current Behr unit leaking? The usual issue is the PS plastic end tank right at the inlet nozzle. New tanks w/seals are available from the Big 3 and there is a great write-up on how to replace them here on the forum. I did both mine about 5 years ago and have not had any issues (and I daily drive my 928.) If your core is leaking then a new CFS from Mark/Roger would be the best route IMHO.

I've had the 928 Motorsports all aluminum radiator and expansion tank in my 928 Spyder for about 3 years now, no issues at all. Also have their push/pull fan setup and controller

erday.

Hi Mike

Thanks for pointing that out, and I'm not positive, but that could be where the leak is- my mechanic just pressurized and looked at it yesterday-I will double check with him on this.

Would be nice to find out this was the issue

+Another satisfied customer here for the CSF unit. Replaced the leaking Behr unit with the CSF radiator and it works great!

You can get the CSF unit from 928 International and 928sRus. In addition to the great cooling, new stickers from Roger made everything look new again.

Here's what the CSF radiator looks like with reproduction stickers as I described above. I have the old Behr which has a leak in side tank sitting collecting dust- I just wanted a new fresh unit in there.
