I was in Houston yesterday, during a lull in the storm, we hauled *** for San Antonio. Spent last night watching the fight at one of my club brothers place, and will be here till Monday. It rained hard with lots of wind yesterday and last night. It's just drizzling now.

Vegas, may be hotter than hell, but we don't get this crap! I'm glad I'm a desert rat!

Glad all my Texas friends are OK!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but that looks like a white S4 that I sold to Herman several years ago. Last time I talked to him, he still had it. They also have a warehouse with lift and living quarters and that debris looks like it could be it. I think it's near the Rockport airport. Hope I'm wrong.

We're surviving, but the water is only about 6" from coming in the house. The rain refuses to let up, so we'll see. My wife and I just man handled the brand new transmission in it's crate to higher ground. Will post some pics when I get a chance. This storm is a first, we've never seen anything like it. Our house flooded Apr '16 and we still haven't fully repaired the house, so I really hate to go through this again, but maybe we'll get lucky.

All the cars and safe on higher ground.

The first thing I think of watching the weather channel and stories from the Gulf is all of you guys down there. I hope you stay safe, and damage to your lives is minimal.

Awe Crap! Regardless of who owned that one, it's a shame. One more never on the road again.

I sure hope all the humans are safe. Property, no matter how cherished or rare is replaceable.

Having been through four hurricanes in Florida, my heart goes out to those affected by this disaster. While my cars stayed safe and sound during those storms, flooding took out several friends garages, and many excellent classic cars were lost.

When looking at the size and scope of this flood, it is certain that some of the 928 community will need or benefit from our help.

How & when to mobilize that help is the question?

Ideas?

Default Texas: Flooding & Tornados

My heart goes out to the folks living there, especially in the Houston area. I know from my files that there are a few members here who live in Texas, most notably:

> 77 Tony & HermanK from the Rockport area that saw a devasting Tornado

> Dinsdale Piranah & Sean somewhere else in Texas

I pray that you, your families & others are ok

Local friend sent just sent some pics of our home in Rockport. Mostly cosmetic and not to bad. Tambra's had a lot of work into her beautiful garden and was looking great before we left...not anymore. Can't get back until utilities are restored and that may be a few weeks. Custom cement table on upper deck weighs approx 600 lbs and appears to be cracked in 2-3 pieces. One of the garage doors at shop is a bit twisted but most else is Ok. Building next to the shop was destroyed. Gave away all the food in large freezer downstairs and frig/freezere upstairs before it all spoils. Feel for those who lost there homes and business's. T&T

T - That appears to be relatively great news! Very thankful your damage wasn't any worse than that. Take care!

I saw a Facebook post from Barb's sibling who said the boat was OK but the Man Cave was a total loss. I thought Herman sold the white 928 and bought Barb a Mercedes Benz convertible.

Anything we can do just let us know!!!

Most of the furniture is moved upstairs or is off the floor by 8in. 928 is 18in off the ground in garage. We are not flooded yet, but the we expect record flooding here in The Woodlands. This is not good, since my house flooded in '94 when the the PO lived here.

Stay safe guys and hold your family close.

Tony,

Glad to hear your house didn't have any major damage. I was afraid that picture was Herman's place. You can see the silver roof of Barb's car on the right. Good to hear at least the boat is ok.

Michael,

Sounds like we are in the same boat, no pun intended. Lots of stuff moved up stairs and just waiting for the inevitable. In the last hour or so, the water has receded an inch or so, but it's still raining like hell. Right now it's about 2.5" from coming in the house and the garage has 13" of water in it. Every time we think there's a gap coming on the radar, a new band appears. I hate tropical storms, worse than hurricanes. Hope you stay dry and keep the group posted if you need any help.
