Default quick wheel question

Anyone know how large a tire you can put on a 17x8 and 17x10 wheel on an 81 928?

Depends on the offset of the wheel. If they are 911 offset ie 52-55mm, a 225 section tire is the largest in front. With a proper 928 front offset ie 63-65mm, you could use a 245 section tire. The rear is more forgiving, I have 275's on a 17x10 inch wheel. You would probably have to roll the fender lips for clearance though, 265's should fit without any mods.

i have 18x8 up front with 225/45/18 and 18x9.5 with 285/30/18 on my 83 928. no lip roll here but i do advise you to take out the spacers on the rear.

That looks very close. Thanks for the shots. I really like your setup, do you have pics of the whole car? I'm sure it looks great!
