Welcome aboard and thanks for giving SharkFan (Dave's) 928 a new home and for joining the 928 Forum. I'm a new 928s4 owner...but long-term enthusiast. I have been on the Forum since Sept '03. You'll be in good company here...and will learn a lot, quickly. The price of membership is well worth the meager investment. Happy to have you aboard...

Welcome aboard Mike!
I just noticed this post.
I am as excited for that 86.5 to get here as you are.
A little jealous that you have a 5 speed too.
Now if we could get our assistant Sandy into a 928.
You gotta get rid of the bimer exaust in the garage as the the shark is a little wider than the bimer and we'll need the room. A general clean up is in order for the welcoming.
BTW the 30% finders fee is due net 30
It was in Mike's "contract" with Sharkfan that the car be supercharged. Dave had been gathering parts in anticipation of my systems being ready before he had to sell the car.
I haven't got recent knowledge of the IT job market but I used to be a recruiter for an IT consulting company. 3 years ago unemployment in the IT industry was a negative figure, more jobs than people to fill them. I hired quite a few entry level people, generally A+ certified some not, for project work. Some of those entry level people still work for the company after 3 years of project work.

yeah, i had a guy who wanted it, but we keep missing each other. I have so much room on my side of the garage that could be recovered with a good cleaning.
Also, that damned manager needs to get her junk out from behind my car and let me use the over-head storage!
I dunno about that Sandy kid... his head is still in the bimmer clouds. I don't want to say anything negative about BMWs around him, but I do believe that the 928 is superior to most bimmers.
i'll see you later tonight probably...

Re. Leaving school: I wished i'd done it too - I spent 6 years at college and university, got a very good bachelors degree, and where has it got me?.....I work in customer services for a bank while i slowly give up on my dream oif become a freelance journalist and accept the morbid reality of life.... At least i've got my S2 to keep me happy
