Default S4/GT/GTS PASSENGER MEMORY SEAT RETROFIT?

wondering if all the wiring is in place from the factory to add on memory seat to the passenger side by merely adding the switch to the door panel?

The memory seats have computers/relays etc. as part of the seat wiring so a none memory seat lacks all those. It requires far more than just the switch !

Do you have a right-side memory seat to install?

Frm memory...

The power connector for the right-side memory seat controller under the seat looks the same as the non-memory seat. Look for it under the seat. Non-memory seat has same power and ground connection. Memory adds a 14-pin for the memory module interface.

The connector for the switch in the door harness will be obvious if you take the vent cover and the top of the armrest off. If it's there, it will be taped to the doorpanel with the incoming speaker wiring.

I have not looked under the seat. I did remove the blanking plate on the passenger door and the wiring is there for the switch and that is why I thought they might have included everything in the factory harness.

not so important to me if its more than the switch add on. my wife will probably be the only one to sit there so no real need.......just thought.......

All the wiring for the body may be there. I didn't look in PET to see if the full harness is an option or not, since you didn't mention the year of your car. [handslap]

The passenger's side memory seat has a controller module underneath, and the seat mechanisms have the position feedback sensors needed to tell the controller where each adjustment is at the moment. So it's not something where you could casually add the button module; there's more to it than that.

Something i ask ed for time ago. To be sure i moved the memory switch to the Passenger door and plugged to the harness... won't work. You need memory module and so on....

I have replacement, non 928 seats and the side mirrors are not fuctioning. I was told the memory module that is under the drivers seat is needed for them to function. Does anyone understand this relationship if any? Herman has one for sale and I would like to know if this would help my situation.

The motors in the seat must be memory motors to be able to use a seat memory model. You will just need memory seats.

Thanks Bertrand, I have been chasing this issue for a while and am getting closer or farther away. I'm not sure which.
