It is absolutely not rice. It pre-dates the concept of rice by nearly 20 years. It is kind of dated looking, but definitely not rice.

I think 924.org would have the information on this.

Absolutely not rice! Decal and car came out before we knew what "rice" was! A silver decal would go great on your red beauty!...Go for it that way I can tell the difference between your car and mine! lol Dal

I think you'd be pushing the limits putting it on the "wrong" S, but the sticker in and of itself, being a factory part, is not. Details are in the Models and History section of 924.org.

Then again, there's the school of thought that says, "If you have to ask..."

Dal: Silver? I was thinking Black...there is so much black on these cars already i thought it would follow nicely, and possibly be more subtle ...

Nope. Not rice. I remember seeing one on a car several years ago- looked to be original.

Frankly, I loved the Martini look on the early white 924's as well..

While not rice exactly, you still would be putting those decals on the wrong car.

I DO have a 931, and I wouldn't put those on. Maybe it's just me, but I like the more "stealth" approach. I'm even thinking of removing the Turbo badges on the outside of the car. Then, up the boost, open up the exhaust, add water injection, toss some weight and go stomping on unsuspecting duhs in a lowly "924" that shouldn't be able to get out of its own way.

I think it's alright, but I agree with Dave951M and the stealth approach. Less is more.

The stealth approach always makes me think of the father of a friend of mine. He was a 2 star admiral and was on the Joint Chiefs back in the 80's (with Colin Powell). When he walked around the Pentigon back in the day he would literally bump into Marines in camo BDUs and comment "sorry, I didn't see you standing there."
