Default Lemans Front Spoiler

HI,
So nobody on the main list could help me with this idea. But i've found a front spoiler im interested in over in the UK. Its the 924S Lemans Style

http://www.essentialstyling.com/le_m...nt_spoiler.htm

So will it fit a US 924S? I already emailed the company to ask, i dont think they know. Are the lower valences different at all between the US and UK versions?
I know the bumpers are different and the US versions and have the side markers too. But does anyone have any ideas if this will fit?

Thanks!
Erich

I think that you are supposed to use that valance with flared front fenders like on a GT or GTS. It actually looks like it is made to fit a 944 not a 924. I don't think that thing will properly fit over the narrow 924 fenders, it will stick out too much on either side

At very least it will look naff as it will look like it was an after thought

Hmmm, Good question, I actually think the stock lower valence was different on the US model. Try www.924board.org.

That valence should fit the standard-fendered 924/924S, since it came on the 1988 924S LeMans, which had standard 924 fenders.

The US and Euro/ROW fenders only differ by the placement of the marker lights.

Thanks for the input guys! I have never posted over on the 924.org site but i think i will. This is the spoiler that the 88 Le mans is 'wearing' in Perter Morgans(i think) book 924/944/968.
If you havent seen the pic the car looks good with it! I looked all over the net and couldnt find any pictures of it on the car to post, do you guys have any?
Thanks again!
Erich

I'm not too sure I think that looks all that hot diggity. The shape is kind of nice, but it just looks kind of slapped on, you know what I mean? I'll see if I can find better picture of a Le Mans at the book store tonight.

Mike,
I know what you are saying about slapped on look. I think that may just be because it sticks out a little and changes the lines of the car. I just like the lines and the look of it compared to the original look of the lower front of the 924...

I also think it makes the car look a little sporty'er...see if you can find anymore pics, i only have this and the one from the Peter Morgan book i already mentioned...thanks!

It might look a little funny with a North American front bumper. It does kind of look tacked-on, doesn't it?

I'll admit that it does look a bit 'tacked-on,' but doesnt anyone else agree that it looks better than the stock lower valance?
anybody?
Thanks!

I does make the car look a little more threatening. I have a Foha spoiler on my car, which adds quite a lot as far as looks are concerned to the front of the car. I'll try and snap some pics this weekend. They are very, very hard to come by though, just in case you like how it looks.

I'll get some tomorrow during the day. Might even wash my car first

The Foha is not as aggressive looking as the one you linked to, but it does finish of the front of the car nicely in my opinion. It too looks kind of tacked on, as anything like this will, but it is a bit more subtle. It is also made from the same stuff as the rear hatch spoiler, so it doesn't get marfed if you bump a parking stone.

I'm itching to see some pics, you must be doing a real nice job washing that car huh?

Look forward to seeing some pics!

Haha, yeah, I didn't get it out of the garage until about 8 last night. I'm heading out in a couple minutes to wash it up a bit and snap a couple pics.
