Can you post a picture of it? I can't be of any help as I have never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. What year is it? Also, what year is your 924?

My understanding is that it was a purely cosmetic package. I think its fairly rare, but not so rare that you won't see one pop up for sale on ebay or 924board.org

I think you'll like your 924S more then the Sebring Edition. It is just a cosmetic car, nothing more then an early 924 that is slow to begin with! Here is the little info I found on it:

"The 1979 Porsche 924 Sebring Edition was produced to celebrate Porsche's success at Sebring. The Sebring was red, with a stripe/graphics kit and was equiped with black painted and polished cookie-cutters rims. It was mainly a cosmetic package. The interior was inlaid with a striking plaid check cloth."

The Sebring Edition was a cosmetic package and only 500 were brought into the US. This one I have pictured was ordered direct from the factory, is a concours winner, and came without the Sebring decals on the exterior.

This car was for sale for $11,000.00 just a couple of months ago. It has less than 30k miles.

In the last picture, the dash has a cover on it, it is not wood.

No I was kidding. It is pure 70's however. If someone wants a concour car that would be a fun car to start with. Esp. if you want to get into the Preservation Division.

A couple little corrections. The Sebring was sold in the United States only with a total of 1292 being produced.

It was somewhat cosmetic but had larger sway bars and an option for 5 bolt wheels (discs all around). It's hard to tell from the photos but if the spiderwebs are original that car probably had the 5 bolt option. Actually, I just noticed the master cylinder and I would say it's a 5 bolt car for sure. The 5 bolt cars were very rare and I've never heard a solid number on how many of the 1292 had that option.

I'm a little surprised that car would be a concours winner as there are a couple of non-Sebring add-ons. Maybe they were added after it won. Imo it's a shame it doesn't have the stripes. I think that's the main thing that makes a Sebring a Sebring.

Is that a ziebart hole on the door sill?!
