How many 924S's out there?

I have an 87 924-S. 220,000 original miles. I've had it since about 93. No sunroof, all original and still looking good even with the faded black paint.
I got another one with the sunroof. Bought it off Ebay with a broke timing belt and the associated destruction. I was going to rework it, but it became a spare parts locker for the other one. Then someone decided they wanted a real Porsche radio, so they removed mine. I think they used a machate, cause the interior is shot now. All hopes of saving are now gone. Anyone need a body? Oh yeah, it only has about 65,000 on it.

I picked up a 1987 924S for $100 from a kid who messed up the Clutch Slave and Master trying to rebuild them himself (just took them out and rebuilt them again) all is good. The car is all original and has 49k on it.
Color is white with no dings or dents. just the front bumper pushed in on the passenger side. The interior is Brown. The driver seat upholestry is ripped and the sunvisors are missing. The Dash is cracked.
The Shifter is all word out at the pivot (I am going to try and put in roller bearings and a 8mm bolt.) also weld a tube on the shifter lever so I can use a Regular mount MOMO 10/12mm shift ****.
A/C doesnt work, neither does the sunroof
My plans for the car at first was to change it to a 924 GTS (always wanted the look, tried to make one in the 80's but never finished it), but now realizing I have no place to do all this work I have opted for a simpler project.
so......SCCA Solo E-Stock, I am not changing anything at this point. just alignment and Kumho V710s and go racing and see how it does!

I have a 1987 Guards Red on tan 924S. It’s all original except for upgraded tire size. Bought in March this year and I'm trying to keep it in great shape, both cosmetically and mechanically.
Hi, to all the other owners out there on this board.

My first Porsche
I picked up a 88 924s NA about a year and half ago on ebay, Guards Red/Black 5 spd, Sunroof, A/C. She needed some tlc in the way of the oil cooler/oil pressure relief valve. It looks like somone tried to do a reseal, but decided to eyeball the oprv install and it was spitting oil everywhere. a year later I finally got it back together and everything in the car works including the AC. She passed her smog test with flying colors. The odometer says 23K mi., body is straight and aside from 20 yrs worth of rock chips the paint looks like new. I'll be putting her up for sale in a few months as this car was origionaly for my son, but he just moved cross country and I have my heart set on a 928.
