If any of you has a 1987 924S with the VIN WP0AA0923HN454019, I'm the original owner. Probably unlikely, as last I knew it had surfaced in a salvage auction. But, you never know.
Here's a pic taken by my then-girlfriend (now wife) when it was a few days old:
Backside of glove box lid looks completely different - does not appear to be 924s and medallion won't fit anywhere on backside. If you try hard enough you can make anything work but don't believe the medallion was affixed to anywhere inside the car. All pictures I've ever seen medallion was lose.

I believe this medallion was 'fixed' inside the glove compartment. I have seen pictures of a sligthly different glove compartment door from the inside with two indentations for that very reason and pictures of these doors with the medallion in them....
My 924S is a 1988 model and doesnt have these indentations. If i remember correctly the same was for the other 1988 special models.....
Here is my new to me '87 924S. It has a suspected blown head gasket (PO tried twice and failed to fix it) and needs new hoses, etc. But, has had a clutch change and is in decent condition. I am doing what I can to put it back on the road after its been sitting a few years.

Man I got a big smile on my face looking at your '24. Nice color.
My 87 924S southeast Georgia!! Putting a 944 front end on it and carrera rear flares. Will be doing a 1.8t swap and I have a 931 transmission I plan on swapping into the car.
Hi, I recently bought my first 924S and discovered it has the 755 option code so I believe is the Le Mans edition as it also had the turqoise and grey plaid seats. Car is in rough shape so I am tearing it down to repaint and refresh the interior. 272000 kms and a three page list of owners when I transferred the title.
Bought my 87 924S last October last year, drove for a few month, and it shredded a rod bearing
Been doing a slow rebuild since and I just bolted my engine back into the bay this weekend!
Frankly, I've been on the 944 forums more since the engines are the same, but I'm starting to cross over to the 924 specific parts
Found this on craigslist 4 weeks ago. No sunroof, thought that was cool. So much for being bored this winter. Just a quick project nothing special planned. 1st 924, had plenty others
