Post 924Org Down for Maint?????

Anyone know why 924Org is down? When I try to go there I get a not available screen.

It's working for me, currently.

I understand the discussion board was down briefly over the weekend, DOS attack or the like...

Thanks Vaughan. I was able to get on later. BTW would you happen to know the part number of the cooling fan relay on the 81? My problem turns out to be the wrong (non A/C) relay install but I can't find the correct number to order. Jeff at 944Racing is taking a used one off a 924S for me to try. From the haynes schematic it looks to be the same as the A/C relay but can't tell for sure. The Parts and Tech manual only lists one relay for the cooling fan.

Thanks again,

Dennis

I'll have to check my manuals at home, the setup of the AC on these cars is a little fruity!

Vaughan,

Borrowed a used A/C relay from Jeff at 944 Racing and the contacts matched. Now it works on high speed with the ignition on and the temps switch jumped. With ignition off it works ONLY on slow speed. Going to go drive it in a few to see if it stays that way. Think PCNA's Parts and Tech manual needs a revision for A/C equipped models.

Thanks

Dennis

Vaughan,

Is it down again? I haven't been able to get on since wednesday. My IE is able to access all the other sites at the registry.

Thanks,

Dennis

There's been some discussion of problems with Comcast routers... Is it the discussion board or the 924.org site itself that you're having troubles with? They're on completely different servers...

I'm having problems too. I can't get to the board. I can get to 924.org, but not 924board.org and it bothers me.I was thinking of calling ATT and complaining about the routing.

You might contact Peter Barnett who runs that part of the site - peter@924.org

TORN TO PIECES!!!

Spun a rod bearing at Beaverun. I'm pulling the trans and torque tube tonight; rear suspension came out last night, and engine's already out and fixed. Have to engineer better baffles for the oil pan before it goes back in. The torque tube is getting switched back to the 924 part (currently have 944 TT and tranny in there), and we're building a new 924 5-speed with the LSD from a 951. No low final drive yet, though - have to wait for that. Major overhaul midseason.

I'm going to be back out at Gingerman for the NASA race July 19-20th, if I can get it all done in time. I hope!

I'm also on comcast and have not been able to log in for about a month now. This is what worked for me.

In c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\host, open up the host file using notepad and delete all the text. Then type in 203.185.241.26 (add a few spaces or tab) then type www.924board.org.

This resolves the IP - DNS address and as it was explained bypasses the attbi routers.
