Mine (#4, 2.0L) made no noise. Just lower oil pressure. #1 was on it's way too. Not sure if the crank's bad or not; there may be some bearing material smeared on it. I'm scheduled to pull the motor tonight (if I get to it), and will swap in a spare crank so that I may deal with the questionable crank at my leisure.

my 924S sounded like a bad valve tappet that grew louder and louder and louder etc. Eventually, I was going 75mph on the freeway, and looked at my oil pressure,and seeing that it was at an astonishing 1 bar. that's when I pulled over.
