On my rear defogger, only the 2nd wire up from the bottom works to defrost...what gives? This means that there is at least some electrical connection but not enough to do the whole window. Could it be just a weak connection? I've looked and the integrity of the connects between the wires seems to be in order. Has anyone heard of this? Any fix short of replacing the whole glass?

Sure there is continuity of the grid? You can buy conductive paste to repair hairline cracks in the grid. Put on like touchup paint and allow to dry.
