Default Rear Window Molding Removal...how?

How is the rear hatch window molding attached? How does one get it off without bending it so the window can be resealed? I have a leak at the top of the window...nowhere else. I might be able to dribble some sealer into the crack between the deck frame and the window (once I get the molding off). Anyone been there done that?

The only succesful attempts at removing and re-attaching the hatch trim have been descriptions on internet sites and a long time ago. Of the 3 I have personal knowledge of (and attempting to follow the internet instructions) none have worked.

If you leak is truly between the glass and the molding just try some rtv at the juncture of the two. If at the likely interface of the rubber seal and the molding then replace the seal.
