Anyone here know if the manual window winder mechanisms in the 924's without electric windows are the same items as found in other vehicles, such as a vw golf, polo, rabbit, or some audi????

Or does anyone know if the ones from another car will fit, even if they are not the same? or even if I will need to do some modification to make them fit?

Its just that I need a pair of them, they seem to be getting harder to find in good condition, and I thought that it may be possible to source ones from another more common car

I bought some for under $150.00 US a few months ago. The US retailer had to get them from Porsche directly. Even still $150.00 (about £78.00) isn't too bad for brand new window lifts.
