Having a strange issue, my oil pressure shows 5 bar at start up and while driving stays around 4-5. Once it gets warmed up at idle it’ll be at 2-3 bouncing, and occasionally the oil light will come up on the dash dimly flashing simultaneously with the brake light. I’m running 20w-50 and I live in hot NC. Is this something to be worried about? Bouncing gauge at idle symptomatic of a bad sender?

 

Suspect that your errant oil pressure light at hot idle vanished over the winter?

Oil pressure...5 bar at start up and 3-4 bar while driving is as it should be. A bouncing oil pressure gauge [+/- 2 bar] at hot idle is also normal. Have you experienced any other issues?
