Rice or Not

Rice or Not
Started to clean a spare cam cover, before polishing, when my father in law suggested painting. Attached is a picture of the painted cover. Does this look too rice and would polished look better.

Thanks for the input. Think I agree with you about the red. Not sure about polishing as it would look out of place compared to the rest of the head. May try dark blue or black. Now what do I do with the intake tube from the turbo??

OK it's a dark blue cam cover, polished cap and neon "BLING" for the intake tube. Actually the bling might clash with my neon undercar lights license plate frame and valvestems.

Erich,
That would take me FOREVER to polish that by hand. Notice that the black matches the car exterior. That's why I painted mine red but I do like the black better. Guess I could paint the cam cover black and polish the intake tube. Saw a spare over at Bob Dodds yesterday. May have to visit him saturday. Sorry Jon. Guess the neon is out. LOL

OK, now they are black. Couldn't get the filler cap to polish up right so it is painted black also. Jon, now you can do your BLING thing to it but I still haven't gotten the neon wheel spinners yet. LOL

I agree with that a little, but every once in a while you need to do a reality check with other people to confirm if its rice or not. It reminds me of the expression that there is no such thing as a dumb question...Whenever you are in doubt, double, and sometimes triple check to confirm if something is or is not rice

Thanks for the input. BTW I now realize why I haven't seen a 924 intake polished. Instead of a sandcast mold they must have used gravel. Burnt up my Black and Decker orbital trying to smooth it out. Next time I'll try the air sander.
