So, i bought this bar about 5 years back from John Hajny of Redline Rennsports services. I was very surprised by the quality of the bar(it has the script "REDLINE" written on the bar!) and my intention was to start tracking my car etc. Well that never really happened and i don't think it will.
I think the time had come for me to sell the bar, its been in my car for 20K miles maybe and no roll overs They fit all 924s/944s. I am not at home right now so i don't have any pics, but i could get some next week if someone wanted. The quality of the bars can be seen here: REDLINE
The bar is in great shape. It has a Halon 2 1/2 pound extinguisher mounted on it and i'll sell the bar with or without it, doesnt matter to me. The reason i'm thinking now would be a good time to sell it is that im going to be driving from Philly to Springfield MA right after thanksgiving and then up to Rochester NY. Then i'll be heading to Boston from Rochester for the 1st week in December. So delivery options look good for anyone in the Northeast. Or someone can arrange to pick it up whenever.
I don't really know how much these things go for used, if anyone knows let me know! I am always willing to hear trades too

Yea its bolt in. For those not famailar, it bolts in to the rear seat belt hole and the c-pillar dummy holes.
In terms of price, i don't know what the used market is like for them...has anyone else sold one on here? Are you interested in just the bar? No Halon extingusher?

If Zoltan doesn't want the extuinguisher (which I dont think he does...cause I'm pretty sure he already has one)....then I'll take the Halon extuinguisher! I dont need the bracket, just the extuinguisher itself.

 

Adrial: I wouldn't mind selling the Halon to someone else...Thats only if Z-man doesnt want it though.

Put me next in line for the bar if the others pass. What color ? Is it UPS or similar shipable ?

 

The color is red, like the website. If i remember when i bought the Bar John said he had problems trying to ship them simply due to size. I think he said it was like $100 or maybe $200 to ship to California.
I'd have to look into it more, if the local guys pass your next! Or you could write John a quick email 'bout it...

Damn, so many people saw this post before me..... hah. I'm in Rochester and if the people before me dont buy it, i'd LOVE to get my hands on it.

 

I just recently picked one up, shipping is definately 100 bucks. He has to rip apart couches to wrap the bar in...its a greyhound shipped part. I would try to sell locally!!! I was trying to find a used for quite some time...remember that with shipping this bar is about $589

I would guess somewhere in the mid 300s would be a great deal?

Based on what Sam Grant said i think a fair price would be $350. And thats also the amount i just spent on my recent 924 LeMans spoiler purchase! If you think i'm way off base with the price please let me know, then i'll offer a member discount
