LT1 and LT4... oh yeah, the reverse coolant flow designs. How do the valve cover gaskets hold up? My friend's '85 Z-51 needed tightening every 2 months or so, sometimes it looked like he was playing Spy Hunter or something...

gm gaskets are good so far, no leaks.
it shouldnt leak unless its blowing out, maybe a plugged pcv? thats what usually starts the small block leaking. and usually on the back of the manifold, (or the covers).
