Default Engine shuts off when coasting in neutral after 30/40+ minutes driving

A couple times I was backing into my driveway after a 30-40 minute ride.
The driveway is a slight downhill so I put it in neutral and let it coast.
After about 100 feet the engine shuts off.

I didn't think much of it until driving last night on the highway, traffic was slowing due to an upcoming merge so I put it in neutral to let it coast.
The engine shut off. I shut the car off, waited 30 seconds, and it started back up and the drive continued with no issues.

a) it happens rarely
b) it shuts down about 100 feet after I put it in neutral
c) it starts back up if I shut down the car and wait anywhere between 30 seconds and 3 minutes

Any ideas on what the problem could be and how to solve it ... would a higher rpm idle setting, while not a proper solution, at least prevent this from occurring?

Don't put it in neutral and coast?

Sounds like flooding, let it die and then look at a spark plug, see if it is wet. Maybe it has a leaking FPR or damper.

I agree that it's a mixture issue - test your TPS (map switch returning to idle) and the usual slew of sensors that tells the DME about engine conditions.
