Default Odd tag on DME

Anybody recognize what this tag might be?https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1491598790

The date is the same year as the car, my first thought was it was purchased with bad computer, and was repaired or replaced.
My second thought was it was modified, but how does one check/ verify?

BTW, sorry it's upside down, it's right side up in my photo gallery, Greg

What does it say? I cannot read it the first three letters, nor the last line.

"
PDI (?) .. date .. G02/F05
VIN
signature? To Dilbert? Fur Dorothy?

"

Biggest question is does the VIN match your car? Some of it may be illegible, last five digits would confirm though.

Given the date, it could be a factory tuned ECU. Rare, but possible.

PDI? last line looks like a signature, Pete DeVille maybe?
No idea what 402/F05 means.
VIN matches on the second line.

it looks like the first the letters are PDI ...pre delivery inspection. the date of course.

i am seeing 'wrong' as the first word on the second line and the later maybe pin references. the 4s are definitive but the 5 in the first line comes of at an angle so it might be an s in the second line.

the last line is a signature and it isn't peter greg....

Looks like a note on adjustment of the Fuel Quality Sensor in the ECU.

Open it up. You won't hurt it.

Then look at the bottom side of the board for an aftermarket tuner's brand name. Then you'll know if it was modified.

BTW, why are you looking into this? Curiosity, or are you trying to diagnose an issue?

No, not having an issue, I happened to see it when replacing a horn relay (which still does not work) and I looked up a few DME's on ebay and such, and did not see any tags on those.
I was just curious, mostly because of the date, whatever this means, it happened very early in this cars life.
