Early 928 Phone Dials on 87 924S?

I have one bent wheel and I found some 928 rims that are in really
rough shape, but straight...and cheap!

Will these fit? Or is the offset wrong?

I'm gonna say not without sapcers. The wheels need to be 52.3mm offset. I believe that the wheels from an early 928 were 65mm offset...I believe that a 1/4" spacer will get you close, but it may have even more of a lost wheel appearance than the 52.3mm wheel. Just as a basis, I believe that 25.4mm is equal to 1".

I hope this helps you.

Raven:
If you are looking for another set of phone dials that are a little bigger for your 924S try looking for a set from a 87+ 951....thats what i just got! 16x7 and 16x8. I'll be refinishing them and mounting them sometime over christmas...Make sure if you buy any set they are the 52.3mm offset...

Yeah, I just missed a killer set on EBay. I just didn't have the money for
them, and the near mint set went for $400. But then he was charging
extra for the center caps and whatever else...

Thats a pretty good price...i paid 300 including shipping for a set that it in need of refinishing. That didnt include caps, but did include tires, two of which were brand new potenza's or something else kinda nice.
You can always just use the center caps from your old phone dials.
Goodluck!
