Default She's ready for her track day re-introduction!

This little 944 has lived a long life and been passed amoung PCA Potomac members over the last 2 decades, and was even club-raced back when safety wasn't as big a requirement.

I bought her off Ryan Wright at the end of February, took it home, found and fixed several minor bugs, and then had the fuel pump spew a leak in the top around the crimp. So I bought a new pump through Carparts.com and bled the brakes with some motul RBF600 fluid.

The car already had a chip in the ECU, cat-delete, and a complete S2 suspension/brake swap. Motor was rebuilt less than 8K miles ago, with a clutch upgrade to remove the rubber in the clutch hub.

She has a bolt in rollbar and a recarro driver's seat. I added Schroeth 6 point harness and will likely put one of my fixed back race seats in it eventually.

Today I finally got to take her on a shakedown drive and I have to admit... I love it. I have a 2012 Corvette Grandsport sitting in the garage and I enjoy that car a lot, but I can't justify depreciating that car when I have something as fun as this sitting in my shop! I've had full build racecars and I have to admit, this little sucker handles exceptionally well And with the mods previously done to it, she has plenty of pep and pulls strong to redline in all gears.

I'll probably see you and it zipping around Summit Point sometime soon. A dual mass flywheel? Do you have an 968 engine in there? ? I didn't think they came along until the 968. I'm probably wrong as usual but don't think so this time.

I think you're right, Mike probably meant the rubber center clutch. My '89 S2 has a regular flywheel in it, I don't think they put the dual mass ones in until the 968.

OttoMechanic is correct. The rubber center clutch was replaced. I had to go back through the list of things done by the owner two sales ago. I'm new to 944s so you'll have to bear with me. The car came with a stack of slicks mounted on phonedials and spare bits/brakepads/5 point harnesses with good dates on them, along with other bits like Sparco seat side mounts and slider.
