(youll have to ignore the house it is a rental). PM me for maps or address. So far I know that the following are planning to be there.
Red1
Father in law
Goingboeing737 (James you still gonaa make it?)
Anyone else is welcome to stop by.

I am setting up a hotel...my in laws are going to be there and they get first shot at the house. (sorry, I forgot about them!) The garage smells like fluids!
Glad to see we are going to have so many hands. Bring hand tools if you can, I only have so many. If you have a compressor and air tools you might want to bring them too.

Excuse me Miss,,, "I'm having trouble getting my compressor to find under my seat.." ha ha ha ha ha........
On another note, What do you think are the chances that my throwout bearing is bad, but not the whole clutch?
Not knowing anything about how any of this $hift works,,,I have had no slipping or burnt rubber smell, only the noise. I think the PO said he had a clutch done, and most of his "claims" seem to be true, could it just be a "part" or a couple of "parts" and not the whole thing???
Isn't there an inspection hole somewhere that I can kinda look at the clutch to evaluate it's condition??
Also, are the OEM rubber clutches any cheaper? I mean if they last 5 -8 years, I'm not racing it etc.... I could do a whole bunch of other stuff with $550.00.....
Cause honestly, I don't know if I want to sink THAT kind of money into this car to have the brakes go out, or an alternator or etc etc etc........

Matt,
I'll be arriving on flight 1425 @ 7:57 pm Friday night
Leaving on flight 414 @ 9:40 am Sunday morning
Does that work OK with your schedule? How do you want to work the hotel room, me a Brian pay you each half? I can see if I get a better airline discount, or are you getting a B/F corp rate?
Also, what do you think of my previous questions on the clutch? Am I just being a cheap *** bastard, or is it a possibility?
See ya Friday.....

James - dont worry about the hotel. You guys are coming to me, I will take care of it. Flights are fine with me. Just let me know what gate to pick you up. I would replace the whole clutch, likely it will all need to be replaced.

james - you have to think hard because you have so much into it that it would be VERY hard to break even. You almost have a very nice, well sorted 944 that needs very little. I know it is another 540 bucks but it may not need anything for a long time. My first NA cost me a fortune for the 1st year and was basically free there after.

James, I gotta agree w/Matt. You could put yourself right back into a car that'll need all the things done you've gotten behind you now on this one.
This'll make for some good garage discussions Saturday. Of course, if you start proclaiming you've got to have a 951, we're probably not going to give you good reasoned advice to the contrary.

I dont know about that, I probably would give advise to the contrary. Unless you get a REALLY good one they are really maintenance intensive and much more difficult to work on that the NAs. Think of it this way, the work you have done on the NA would have cost about 2 times on the 951 and the jobs would have taken longer. The clutch you need now would cost at least 250 dollars more and could cost as much as 3 times more.
