Dashboard Restoration - Late with airbag

Thank you Jeff. I bought the kit from Rob and had a local upholster install it. My dash was in very good condition prior to the refresh. It had two small cracks around the defroster, however I was starting to get several micro cracks over the center of the dash.
Rob provides foam to place on top of a repaired dash if yours is badly damaged. I bought a spare dash to play with, but ultimately decided to refresh mine.
I removed the dash, the defrost vent tube under the dash, the black metal along the windshield and peeled the vinyl off the dash prior to bringing it to the upholstery shop.
I will go out to the garage and take a photo later today of the vent trim. To be honest that was the one part I was not thrilled about, but once it was installe it looks like it was meant to be there.
As for the cost it was several years ago so I don't recall exact cost, but I believe all in it was a little less than $1000.

Good info in this thread! I am looking at adding another 944 to the stable and good to know there are options for cracked dashes. I have been avoiding cars with cracked dashes!
