The OE Porsche seats are made by Recaro, maybe not rare but they are technically recaros

I'm pretty sure those aren't the racing seats. I've got the racing seats in mine, and the bolsters are much bigger. Those look like the standard seats to me.

What you have Epic is the "sport seats". There is no "racing seats" as far as I know. Those look like standard seats to me, but to give him SOME credit, the "Porsche script" fabric inserts are pretty rare.

If they were absolutely perfect, maybe they would be worth $800. But these are not sport seats, and not leather either. (Although, I am partial to the porsche script cloth myself. )

On the black seats, I wonder how they looked new. The inserts on most of the ones you see now have faded to some shade of gray.

Also, the sagging cloth in the middle is not a good sign. And the bottom seems about to rip on the driver's side (a common problem).

Another thing is ... did porsche ever make the headrests in script cloth? I have a set of script center seats and the headrest is vinyl/leather.

...and that doesn't look like a post 85.5 interior, so how can they be 87 seats? unless of course he bought them from a different car (or parts car)

My thought also! Nice seats, but I wouldn't pay that much for them. Maybe somebody will though???

For that price you could get REAL Recaro sport seats.

nice? they look all worn out, maybe worth a couple hundred at most. yes travis, porsche made the front seats in all cloth too, a guy here in hobe sound has them like that, they're cool.

epic has the sport seats, like i do in my 84, these are worn out factory originals... decent shape, but worn.
