jp - I know they are a 3L, thats why I asked the question. That looks just like a 951 engine and not the later 3L.

Matt, remember the 968 Turbo still used an 8V head so that's why you see some similarity to the 944 Turbo.

I see. I was looking at the intake and cam cover and head design. Could one just swap a 951 engine/bellhousing into a 968?

Thank you for the compliment
Matt, yes you can do it as long as the swap is all teh way to the torque tube. The lengths are different so if you change housing, you have to change torque tube as well.

Its on its way with the factory 968 turbo S transmission. Then I will have a turbo RS engine, turbo S trans, turbo S bumper cover and naca ducts, turbo S rear spoiler, front splitter and turbo S half shafts and cv shafts. Make a pretty good replica . At the time, I didn't have a choice on the bumper cpver but its all on its way from the holy land .
Oh by the way, I do have the turbo S/964 turbo S 3 piece speedlines. Just never took a pic with those on. Maybe this weekend . I prefer running the 17 on a daily basis and use the speedlines for shows and events.

Aren't the fronts thinner on the 964 3.6 ?
