Assuming the part number is 101.3. RARST (sorry typo fixed) these should be late(r) 951 rods although people have seen the 110.0 rods in 1989 Turbos as well as 1986. Anyway as far as I know these are found in early 944 and some Turbo (not 86).

Good rods. Better than the puffy-looking 944NA cast rods and way way better than the 1R S2/968 rods. I do not think there have been any issues reported with these rods up to 350whp but someone else can clarify.

The early (82-83) NA rods are different parts altogether than the 86-89? turbo rods.
See below: 101.3R ARST

Sorry I meant 101.3 RARST and yes AFAIK these rods were used in the early 944 and then 951 was switched to them later in production after the 110.0 rods, and the 101.3 rods were superseded in the NA by the cast rods. I understand the 101.3 rod was the 87+ 951 rod however there were sightings of 110.0 rods in later 951. Possibly 951S cars got the ones which had been sitting in the parts bin or it was hit-or-miss.

I think I checked once and they weighed the same as a 110.0 rod.
