Didn't like the curvy approach, so decided to get back to basics tonight. Need to lower it like 3".
Rough set up with clamps.
Will be painted.
Going to make some nice end plates.

Sorry, Thomas, I guess I was confused by your message, I thought maybe you had a frs or brz. Personally that would be the car I'd buy if I was in the market and have considered selling my 944 for one, but then I realized with a little tinkering the 944 would kill it.
But I suspect by your silence you might be hating on all these new Jap cars (?).
-----------
I am going to trying to accomplish a dual 3" side pipe exhaust. Might not work, but essentially: short 2.5" turbo down pipe to 3" single pipe, to 3" Y pipe to 2 Magnaflow 14419 mufflers (3" in/3" out. 4" diameter body).
I searched for sounds of dual #14419 muffs on a 4 cyl and this video turned up.

It'll be a big task to incorporate door bars and (my understanding of) 2017 FIA approved A pillars... into a daily driver, where easy in/out is one of the main goals. I'm planning on bending 2 "U" shaped door bars (the update to the "X" door bars) and second A pillars. This will be a big challenge for me. But better than the alternative.

About once a day I think about colours.
What colour will Wilson get painted after the wrenching & welding?
My top choices: Black, Metallic Ruby-Maroon, Silver.
Silver is so boring. But I have enough paint left over from Gramps to do the car in & out. But that's not a good reason for silver. Silver is the most "Vanilla" colour for these cars. I much prefer metallic GREY. But Something about silver is great. It's an invisible cloak. It's a super power. For a bad boy like Wilson is I like the added element of discreet. So today I lean towards Silver to tone the car down and make it less loud (with the exhaust/louvers/cage/wing/Splitter) I think it's going to attract attention and I don't wanna be a heat score on the streets. So even though it's one of my LEAST favourites, I think boring old silver might be the colour of choice.

My first 944 was Garnet Red (the maroon color). It's one of my favorite colors on a Porsche. It's a classic look and a really beautiful color when done right.
Not that there's anything wrong with black or silver, of course.

Silver is also much easier to keep looking clean...
And what you got against silver!!! Ahhh,,, you mean silver silver NOT Zermatt Silver Metallic right?? RIGHT??? ;P
I have to say, when I think of repainting the 87 and it's current "Nautic Blue" the Garnet Red, Indian Red or whatever it's called anymore, has been the one color I've really considered.
I have a feeling I may go with a Sapphire Blue however. It will be close enough to stock to work, and I won't have to pay out the "you know what" to match that Nautic Blue.
