Owned my first ( and still have ) my 944 since July 1984, and have added more since, and not once over these 32 years of ownership, have flat towed or rope towed a one.

I maintain all my cars well. I don't skip anything or spare expense on cheap replacement parts. I consider them to be a part of my 'family' and treat them as such.

My feelings are they are some of the most dynamic and trouble free cars built, but none have suffered abuse by prior owners or by me. None are winter driven or even driven in inclement weather, so I do feel those two things add years and miles to their solid reputations. Nothing sits outside in the UV or rain. Or snow. The cars with alarms all still function as they should.

I may be the odd man out in this dog fight, but in my estimation your car will stand by you if you treat it well. OR, if the previous owners have treated it without reproach.
