Default It's alive! The 83 944 roars to life but my Tach and MPG died?

Good news and frustrating news...
The 83 after being abandon for more than an decade and then in my possession for a few years and slowing doing the rebuild today it started for the 1st time. All engine systems go.

However...

At first I got Tach bounce and after it started it worked. Once the car warmed up I noticed the Tach stopped working along with the MPG. Is this fuse related?

Looks like I'm going to be chasing wiring gremlins for a while for example the dash lights worked at first then stopped. Everything is old and I probably need to clean and check all the fuses.

But back to the Tach...any ideas?

Chris

Check the 2 pin connector under the steering column, that comes off the DME harness. The black wire is +12v to the tach and the yellow/black wire is the economy gauge signal.

Now I have to figure out the rattle/knocking from behind the belt cover that is there when cold. I think the balance belt isn't tight enough even thou I used the proper tool. I've done belts before but it's hitting something. Weird that it gradually goes away.
