Hydrolocked....

You can't compress a liquid like a gas... it just won't happen.

So.. the bigger question.. who's block and what the hell happened?

Havn't seen that on the form for a while. In deep puddles (and not so deep) these cars tend to build up waves that get sucked into the intake. Go really slow, or don't go at all.

I sucked up water through the intake tube (that sounds about right!)

This one was submerged and its no fake. I had to replace the engine in this 88 n/a. Believe it or not, I was able to start the car with the broken rod and run it for about 10 seconds before it locked again.....

Ran an old 36 hp VW engine about twenty minutes at a time with a broken piston for at least twenty times before she blew.

Something would seize up and stop the engine. We could restart it as soon as it cooled off.

Had to run it at full throttle to get it to go bang!

S2 should be safe... Unless you become a submarine and if you become a submarine you got more worries...
If you use modified intake use a bypassvalve.
