Why dont you just have a shop like Huntley fabricate a piece of nice shiney polished stainless to use...head it over to the wheel area and tuck it in behind the light more...Sounds simple to me
But then again i dont have a 944S3 or a 924S2![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Erich, I think a 924S2 would be a fantastic idea! Another cool Q-car concept. In hindsight, I think engine swaps are "worth it" if you 1) come stumbling on a good inexpensive motor, 2) need a new engine anyways, and/or 3) need a good fun project.
I had to hire an expert to do the work, but my understanding is that a 944S2 flywheel works because it has the same number of teeth. I'm sure the 968 dual mass would work, but some 968 drivers do not like the dual mass for -- well its greater mass. I have a single-mass flywheel in my 968, and notice some faster revving.
As for the position of the K&N, there is a fabricated pipe in there.
I just got home, but I'll think I'll go for another drive!

Excellent job. Kudos! Now next time you can do it all yourself
. Good luck. If anyone is interested in such a swap, I have a friend who will be swapping for a turbo engine and will have a complete 968 engine available soon if someone is looking for one.

I have done the same swap in my 87 944S. The engine weight is almost exactly the same as my "S" was. Of coure you have swaped out a single overhead cam engine.
If anyone is interested I have a 968 flywheel that was removed from my engine. I used my 944S fly, housing and torque tube.

I wish I had done this instead of the "warmed over" stock rebuild. I considered it at the time but decided it would be too expensive...I'm over $10K as it is
. That's hindsight for ya!
