31000KM Canadian 924S LeMans

In other markets they came in other colors. Most notable is the 924 S Le Mans in Europe - they matched one of the two exterior paint choices.
The Turbo Cup cars, also came Pearl White.
Two Le Mans wheels:
Additionally, I have no doubt someone with a 928 at the time requested their wheels be color matched (or changed to some color).
Fuchs can crack too with enough fatigue. Not uncommon actually, especially given the age of most of them.
Holy cow. Those seats are incredible.
The cloth is very fragile and tears easily. Take care of them!

I think I may have found the answer to the black centre cap mystery. The It looks as though the wheels on the LeMans for some markets were painted black with a turquoise lip. I suppose a previous owner grew tired of the colour matched look, and changed the colour of the rims to silver, leaving the centre caps black. It looks like I have some wheel refinishing to do!

Thanks guys!
I have done a little more research as to the production numbers of the M755 LeMans, and the different countries they were distributed to. It seems as though The US did not receive any, as they received the M756 SE instead.
It appears as though the M755 was given different marketing names depending what destination country it was intended for. I am not sure what marketing name it was sold under for the Canadian market, but I have the contact information for the Porsche salesman who sold this car new (now working at the Benz dealership), and I look forward to testing his memory on this car.
I have compiled the chart below to help clarify how all the M755 models were distributed.
Credit for the info goes to Thomas and www.werk924.com as well as a couple of other online sources. Thomas indicated that his source was the Porsche archives.
The blue highlighted row is where this car would fall. There is no specific data that I have found as to what countries the remaining 106 ROW were assigned. I guess we can say now that at least one of the 49 black M755 cars was destined for Canada!

An interesting write-up and (now expired) ad for an '88 Le Mans here: http://germancarsforsaleblog.com/198...-924s-le-mans/

Yes, it is very closely related to the M755 LeMans cars, but distinctly different.

Here are a couple of other interesting articles I came across about the Spanish variant of the M755:

...And the M756 SE:

It's a cold rainy day today in Winnipeg, but I still managed to do something 924S related. In anticipation of doing the front of engine service, (possibly the first ever one for this car), I picked up a "used once" ArnnWorx Maxi kit that was for sale locally.
I also took a look through the well preserved manuals that were found tucked neatly in the glove box.
Thankfully there was a full set of keys included with the car. There is even a tiny little Hirschmann key for getting the tip of the antenna out when it has been pushed in flush with the antenna base.
The brown leather key fob came with the car and is from Auto Haus Fort Garry where the car was originally sold. It has presumably been with the car since new.
The black fob was until now unused, and given to me as a gift by my good friend Tim, a fellow Porsche enthusiast. It is also branded "Auto Haus Fort Garry" on the back. I figure this is a fitting way to put it into service.

Did a little garage clean-up today to prepare for winter. The 924S will be keeping her older sibling company over the winter. They will be slumming it with my 75 Rabbit and 75 Bus.
I also noticed the rear wiper arm was not mounted correctly and that the blade had been replaced with an Anco blade at some point. I pitched the Anco, and installed a Bosch Microedge I had on hand.
The front blades are SWF brand. Is that what they would have come with new?
