This 500+ Horsepower Porsche 944 was Rescued from a Life of Neglect

Sure, it's nice to look at sports cars such as the Porsche 944 when they're standing still. However, it's even better to drive them.

Love the appearance of it. It's a street car, no?

I also would like to see how 500HP was documented. Out of a 2.5L? 3L would be much easier but still a bit of work...and I'm also not sure that vinyl wrapping a car counts as rescuing in my book. Sorry! Show me the build sheet and dyno and I'll change my tune.

Default 500 hp

Wow, that is a lot for that style. I don't doubt the 500 hp. I have a friend that does a lot of turbo work for various types of sports cars. I would assume though that now they have a lot of turbo lag. Therefore, I would also assume that it is now harder to drive the car out of the corner. Cool car.

No way that is a 500hp car. Love the wrap job though!

I'd be impressed if it was putting out 350 Skip! Hope you are doing ok btw.

Regardless of the hp, that car needs the batwing (and my guess all the under trays too) because the modded cars to generate a lot of heat and without those parts air flow isn't going to be going through the radiator / oil cooler as effectively as it should.

Also, shift **** is on backward......

Is the cylinder head design what limits the engine's HP? I come from the Mitsu 4g63 world where 2.0L Turbo get you in that HP range. Of course you need a large enough turbo, cams etc.
