Default OT: I did an online IQ test, is this good??????

I did it, like 2-3 questions of 40 I kinda just put down whatever because I didn't feel like thinking too hard. I was only doing it to humor myself. A few friends were talking tonite about it. They said around 70 or so is bad, my buddie said he got a 91, another friend said 21 points is a big difference. I got 120. Is that good?????????

The online is much different than a real test. I score 110 on the online but MUCH higher on the real thing.

So am I a dummy? what is the scale? I'm not all that serious, but the site gave no listing on how good that number is. I'd like to do the real deal someday.

Travis is right, the online ones are a lot different from the real ones. The online ones are more giving with the scores also. To illustrate, the online ones always rate me as "genious". Enough said!

I guess it was backwards for me then because my real test was WAY over my online one. Maybe I just got dumber over the years...

100 is average (50% of population is above 100, 50% of population is below 100). 120 would be in the top 25% of population, 130 would be in top 5%, 140 would be in top 1%

Hmm, being in the top 25%, you'd think I'd be able to figure it out by myself, lol. Thanks man

The scale works in reverse too. At 100 you are at 50% of the population. at 80 you are in the lowest 25%, at 70 you are in the lowest 5% and at 60 you are in the lowest 1% of the population and would probably be medically certified as incompetent. So 120 is not a bad place to be at.

Mine was 158 when I was tested at the age of 9. (I was brought back for testing 9 times in 2weeks)

I had to take it again because my teachers thought, I was slow in 8th grade (I got a 11% in my SS class). I scored a 147. They said it is common for your IQ to drop when you get older and then rise again with you are around the age of 40 (at least for men might be diffrent for women).I also Got the Highest Science and Math score on my Proficency test for my fresman year.

I got a 22 overall (not to great) on my ACT my English was a 14:/ <--- Explains everything

I am not smart, I have many people agree to that statement. I am by far one of the dumbest people, I know. My IQ test says I should be EXTREMLY GOOD at Chess. (177 on Scientific Reasoning) I never win at chess except when I get lucky. Just do me a favor and take any high IQ result with a grain of salt because there are millions of people that will always be better at something then you.

Any standardized testing has to be taken lightly. I got a 33 on the ACT, but I know people who scored a little lower but are smarter than me.
