My 931 sits on 15" wheels and it drives absolutely briliant, its even confy when it comes to bumps.
My GTS wannabe sits on 17" wheels and stiffer springs and shocks so its obviously not as confy but not too bad actually...but it corners at faster speeds..its on a different level compared to the almost factory spec 931.
Bottom line, i love both 15" and 17" wheels..both look great on the 924, both have advantages.
17" is more crisp but like i said, stiffer springs and shocks are recomended.
15" is more confy and feels more relaxed and i also recommend a tad stiffer springs and shocks for the perfect classic feel.

The difference between a 15" & 17" can be quite staggering different and the 17's are worst in reality even though they feel stiffer harder and less rock and roll, especially with their heavier weight.
The 17" Cup wheel is a popular choice, but replica's and even Genuine are heavy...I sold a Genuine set from my 968 which weighed 196 Lbs to a 17" Boxster set (with narrower tyres) @ 145 Lbs and the 968 drove and handled better..
A good compromise is a stiffer suspension set up and 15" or 16" Wheels with narrower tyres..which have a bigger contact patch
Most people change wheels for aesthetics to get "The look" and the claims they are faster are untrue.
Porsche Cayman 18's on my 968 had the look but were not as good for Road / Street use than the 17's..
These are the original 17" Cups...buy they are heavy !
The Boxster set were much better and quicker to drive
One of the (5) 944's I've had this one on the heavy Replica 17" Cups (7.5 & 9" ET 23/15)
Running a Wheel Shop for almost 10 years has it great benefits being able to
