924 parts wanted
hi all
im looking for some small parts for my 81'924
i need the big bolt and plate that holds the spare tire down in the back, obviously nobody wants to get rid of this part for a street car so this could be hard to find.
anyone know how to fix a parking break handle when the ?gear? that holds it in the on position are stripped out? this is broken in both my cars (the other is an 83' 944) so i have essentially no park break and there is a steep driveway on our house.
the alternator "isolator" that the alternator mounts to, its rubber i believe and mine is totally worn out. any help appreciated!

What makes you think the gear is stripped in the parking brake?
Usually the piece that is in the handle just flips around. This happens when the e-brakes are way out of adjustment.

I believe there is a section on 924.org that describes how you can make your own rubber replacement part for the altenator using a hockey puck.

e-brake
well, i dont know about the 924, been broken since i bought the car, but what happened on my 944 is the windows were down one night and i went to roll them up (power windows). The fuse was blown!!and it was about to rain...so i hopped in head first under the dash to replace the fuse and i smacked into the e-brake handle (the e-brake was on) and it never held in place since. that is why i think i broke something inside!?!?!?????
