Do you think the check valve is in backwards?

Side note I recently saw THE Rain Man car at F40 Motorsports. Nice car.

Check out the diagrams here:

Get a multimeter. Very first test should've been to measure voltage at the fuel-pump connector. Next measure the impedance of the engine coolant temp sensor. At the sensor itself, then verify at the DME connector to test the wiring in between.

Electronic parts have specifications, just looking them will not tell you if they're good or bad. You have to measure.

Sounds like you probably fixed the dirty fuse contact that was causing problems? Tighten 'er up and fix the leak, my guess is you're good to go!

This is not correct. The fuel pump won't run with just the ignition. The DME has to sense that the motor is turning before it will turn on the fuel pump. Thus the need for the jumping of the DME relay.

Hmm. the 928 runs the pump as soon as I turn the key to "on", I thought my 944S2 did as well. I was probably confused.

Definitely confused. 924S. Definitely.

I've never worked on a 924S, my apologies. I had a 931 (924 Turbo), never a 924S. Also two 928S3s and a 944S2.

Still, it seems odd jBob reports the pump starting after cleaning the fuse. Hmm.

Definitely. Definitely odd.

It's attached to the fuel pump. I don't think you can install it in reverse but I've seen a couple different variations.

got the thing started today. So thats all good. Now just the original issue of a sticky thread to the fuel filter end of the hose from the pump to fuel filter which honestly was partly what threw me on this "while youre in there" stuff. 88silver924s has the idea of filing that stripped bolt down which i did butbit never went all the way in. The only issue now is that a "new" hose between pump and filter is 150 and really all i need is that tip to the filter. I may just pay for the oem. Pretty excited to be back on the road after all this messing around. THANKS to all you guys helping me trouble shoot. The no start is funny because in the thick of it it feels like its probably something mysterious and dme or misc sensor related. Really appreciate the patience with my futile cause. Happy to be inching forward and hear the car cough to a start. Idle is weird but thats an easy top end fix compared to some of this other stuff. Might go on ebay and buy a cheap version of that hose or maybe just buy the legit version.
