rsrdan...

You're being too hard on this guy! Since so many Boxter parts are interchangeable that'll bring the repair costs WAAAAAAY down!

At least the suspension is ok... as long has having a wheel ripped off the spindle dosen't cause you any anxiety.

Think I'll just hang onto the project car I already own.

People that sell rebuildables consider anything that does'nt have major frame damage "An EZ fixer!" even if you have to replace every piece of the body, suspension and glass!

Easy fix...I guess the insurance adjuster that totalled it must have missed that. I figure if an insurance co will total a high $ car like this out, then it really is f-d up.

Insurance co. will total a car like that at 50% value to repair. It would make a great race car tub. Believe it or not that is really not that bad.

The tire in the roof is just out there! That car is a total losss, IMHO. What's leaking under the engine back there? Looks like oil to me.

Ah think I'll pass on this one, Maynard...looks like I'd have to take the interior, the 3 wheels, and possibly the engine and tranny out, and blow up the rest!

Don't forget, the cost the insurance company uses to fix a car is retail. If a shop buys this car and can fix it in house, that is not a bad car to start with. Or as a parts car, anyone want to guess what a factory replacement motor for that car costs?
Take your average paint job alone, how much of the bill is labor? Half if not more? If somone does it themselves this expense isn't there.

I don't know guy's- I've always seen where insurance adjusters usually use ~75%, but I'm sure they've been known to total at lower percentages, BUT, this car looks like almost EVERY single panel (& section thereof) has some type of damage to it- I would think it would cost a good bit- but, I'm not an expert here or anything- still, even if I had that much $, I'd rather throw it into something else- S4 V6TT maybe(?)
