that IS an easy fix as long as the motor/tranny are good and the frame isnt tweaked. if i had $18k to blow i would:
buy the car
strip and sell the interior to make back some of my investment
chop the roof off so i can weld in a custom cage
bolt up a full fiberglass body from gt racing
and assuming the suspension is ok you are a couple minor fixes away from a cool DE/autox 996

If you like that Boxster then you'll love this "rebuildable" Honda S2000... I was going to try and scoop it up cheap, but now the cat's out of the bag....

The porsche did have a very nice looking driver's door and seat. Bring on the ultimate set of tools!
(Even changing a clutch on a 951 isn't an "EZ Fix" )
