Over the last couple of weeks I pulled the 87 S into the garage and preceded to change the torque tube. In the process I found the transmission mount nearly severed.

Replaced TT, Trans mount, new half shafts, welded exhaust leaks, new O rings on both oil pressure valves.

Got it all back together yesterday, go to start it...and one 'click'. At first thought battery, so on went the booster pack...still just one click.

Bloody thing is only two years old. Grrr...

I'm about to go bench test it this morning. Sigh...

Seems the solenoid had some cracks. I repaired and modified so there wouldn't be stress on the post and repaired the cracks. Bench tested fine.
Put it in and started right up. Test drove and still starts fine.

I wonder if I can just find a new solenoid?
