Default mystery bits in bellhousing

Had starter out for clutch slave bleed, son found some bits hanging out in bell housing were starter fits in. This is one of them there was a bigger piece but I dropped it and couldn't find it back. Any idea what this might be?

Looks like bits of that toothed ring, bottom right hand corner;

Yes it does look like a part of the toothed ring. Looks like its time to have a look at the throw out bearing.

That is insanely priced. I wonder how the bearing will work with that bit broken? We're about to find out.

I can't get a good perspective from that picture, but it could also be a chunk of the release bearing guide tube. They are known to fail. If it's thick spring steel and the tab is only slightly angledl, then probably the toothed ring, but if it is standard steel and the tab part is 90 degrees to the rest, then maybe a chunk of the guide tube. Almost academic though, as you have to go in to fix it anyway and once you're in there it will all be clear. Sorry about that...
